Surphin Coloured

This is just an experiment piece. I found a new method to colour in Manga Studio 5, and judging by the results, it's working out quite well. You might remember this from the progression picture before - Surphin Progression


My problem was I kept getting distracted by the colours and overwhelmed by colour choices, so I did all the rendering grunt work in black and white (painting in highlights like I usually do, except using white) and set that layer to overlay. After that it's just a matter of choosing flat colours underneath.
